About The CLC
The Middlesbrough City Learning Centre, hosted by Acklam Grange School on behalf of the Middlesbrough EiC partnership, is now open.
It has been quite an experience being involved in MCLC's development, from the plans on paper to a fully operational ICT facility.
MCLC is here to support schools in raising achievement by:
- Facilitating innovative use of ICT in teaching
- Providing access to specialist ICT facilities
- Acting as a test bed for emerging learning technologies
- Supporting the development of school staff ICT skills
- Disseminating good practice
The Centre was completed and opened on a restricted programme from 7 January 2001 to allow for initial commissioning and we have welcomed many pupils and staff from EiC schools in Middlesbrough since then.
From 1 April 2001 we opened fully and the centre is available for your use, both throughout the day, evenings and during holiday periods.
As the Centre develops further an increased programme of opportunities, for example ICT courses, curriculum projects and events, for your staff and pupils, will become available and these will be notified via this web site.
Please contact us to explore the exciting opportunities this Centre has to offer.
